Giving Guardian a voice

Pittsfield Employees Welcome Congressman Neal in Virtual Town Hall

June 9, 2021

On June 9, Congressman Richie Neal participated in a virtual town hall with Pittsfield employees to talk about policy issues that Congress is currently addressing. Congressman Neal is the Chair of the House Ways and Means Committee and represents Guardian’s Pittsfield office and the surrounding area. Rep. Neal took employees’ questions on infrastructure, broadband access to the Berkshire area, and paid family leave issues.

“It was a pleasure to welcome back the Congressman back to speak with Pittsfield employees. His leadership on our key policy issues and willingness to listen to his Guardian constituents is much appreciated,” said Lawrence Hazzard, head of the Pittsfield campus, who led the town hall. Congressman Neal last visited Pittsfield for an employee town hall in August 2018.

This is the most recent of several policymaker visits that bring Guardian employees together with their elected officials. Guardian hosts members of Congress to educate them about our industry and our company, and public officials appreciate Guardian’s constituent relationship and benefit from our trusted perspective on priority issues.
